Scary moment yesterday!

I thought I had lost my Fitbit! I have heard other people complain that the device is not secure enough in the clip, but I hadn't had any issues with it popping out or anything. I was attributing their problems to user error - they were too rough with the sleeve when they slid the Fitbit into it, or time - these were users who had their Fitbit longer than me and, like many things, the clip was starting to wear out.
My issue was different than these. I think my issue is that I clipped my Fitbit to the inside (thank goodness) of my pocket, and this particular pocket sat low on me - right against my hip bone. I was out with some friends, came home, looked to see how I was doing for the day, and discovered that I was looking at an empty Fitbit clip! There was only a moment of panic because it had fallen into my pocket, but I hope this will be a lesson to anyone - Clip to the INSIDE.

-When in a pocket, I clip the Fitbit so the device will fall inside my pocket if it happens to come loose.
-When under my clothes, I try to be sure it will fall to a place I will feel it.
- When on my waistband, I make sure it will stay lodged against my skin.
- When at the gym, I to clip it to the outside of my sports bra so I'm not sweating all over the poor thing, but I check it if I've been doing an exercise or machine that disturbs that part of my clothing.

In short, I don't think the clip is faulty in design, but there are ways to use it poorly. I would be SO upset if I lost my Fitbit, so that's the word from a woman-made-wiser... be careful with that thing!
