Is this a novel idea? I could never keep myself motivated on spark people, and although WW is basically the same thing, but with simplified tracking, I'm finding it much easier on there. My only real gripe is that WW online is not as pretty as SP, and I'm not sure I like the community pages there as much. I love the points system, though!
My issue with SP was that I was spending so much time inputting nutritional values that I lost sight of trying to keep it simple and maintainable. Yes, I developed a basic understanding of nutrition and can usually estimate calories fairly well, but it was so tiring thinking about it all the time. With the points system I can still use my basic know how regarding how much protein/carbs/fat/fiber to eat each day, but it's a single simple number to think about when tracking.
It's still early days, but I have high hopes. I'm already at my lowest adult weight, 77kg, or just under 170lbs. While my end target is to reach 66kg (145.5lbs), I am aiming for the strong goal of 74kg (163lbs) by Easter, as I'm a part of a challenge. If I can reach that goal, I'll make a new one for the wedding date (22 June), but we cross that bridge when we come to it.
Onwards and downwards towards the wedding. I wonder how many other brides are hoping to have to pay extra to have their bodices taken in closer to the wedding?
