Where should I be now?

Monday, January 28, 2013

I should have started sooner. DAG-NAB-IT!!!
Time flies, and what have I done?
Found more websites and motivation tools online, TO IGNORE.
That's right, I haven't learned from myself.
This months excuses?

I'd exercise with the kids but they can't keep up, they don't follow the routine, they wanna talk and ask too many questions, they wanna make up the rules and change the rules with each round, they get distracted, they are hungry, they...., they...., they...!

PERFECTION sucks the life out of me.

I am 25 lbs above my college/wedding weight.
I am 35 lbs above my dream weight.
I am officially middle age.
Middle age is kicking my middle and my behind.

I am at a physical low. I am at an emotional low.

Only one way to go now?

So easy to get caught up in woulda-shoulda-coulda, but didn't. If I'd believed in myself when I was 17, my life would have taken a much different turn, and I would have missed out on a lot of heartache and misery, but I would also have missed out on marriage to a wonderful man. We are who we are because of our life experiences, and we can't undo the past, but we can make a decision to do better today.

I started by making a list of all the habits I wanted to put in place, from the hardest to the easiest. Then I started with the one I thought would be easiest for me. Once that was working, I added another one. Not that I've achieved perfection, or anywhere near it, but I am a work in progress, and that's better than I was.

Oh my! My first thoughts are, please don't be so hard on yourself. We all have our ups and downs. It doesn't matter where you've been so much that now you're here, reaching out for help. The one way you have to go now is just start today. Let me know if you need to talk. I don't know you but I know you can do this! emoticon
