I'm not gonna lie....I'm getting anxious.
I've done what I can to prepare. Ran the training miles
, drinking the water
, read about the nutritional prep (carbs for a few days to make sure I have stored enough energy)
, took a preview run over 1 of the steeper of the 2 bridges that are on the route
. Ran a 10k race a few weeks ago with an fairly average time.
But....it's the thought of 9.3 miles that keeps creeping into my head.
I ran 3.18 miles today and averaged a speed = 11.3/mph. I'm thinking if I break the race into 3 segments and focus on each as individual races...it may just be less daunting! Yeah...that's my strategy
