Non-scale Victory!!

Monday, January 28, 2013

So I placed an Old Navy order because my son needed new pants and they had some good deals in the clearance. I added a few shirts for myself, a bathing suit, and a pair of non-stretch jeans in a 16 to be my size judgement jeans. I have always been able to wear a size 16 stretch jean at old navy when I was in an 18 everywhere else, but I have never been able to squeeze my queen-sized butt and belly into a pair of non-stretch 16s...well, not since before having kids but that is a story for another day hahaha.

the jeans fit.

They FIT.

THE FREAKIN' SIZE 16 NON-STRETCH STIFF THICK DENIM JEANS FIT!!

I AM A SIZE 16!!!!!!

I knew my 18s were getting big, but 18 has always seemed like the neverending size for my body...I have worn an 18 for the last 40 pounds so I was starting to think I was doomed to 18s forever. I have found it really soul destroying in past diet attempts to lose a bunch of weight and not go down in size tags...

I have HOPE again.

I can, and will do this. I can be whoever I want to be, I can change my body and I don't have to live in this fat suit the rest of my life.

this is great and yes I too feel like size 18 takes more than its share of pounds to get out of !! I have not been a 16 in over 6 years and hope to be there soon myself !!
