Starting to walk again

Monday, January 28, 2013

I am still very tired from my journey home and all my doctor appointments. I get my test results Friday and Saturday.

The weather warmed today and I felt better so I strapped on my Fitbit and walked. I could not believe how exhausted I felt after only 5000 steps. So, I have decided to inch my way back up to the 10000 I was doing when I left KZ. I am hoping that my energy level gets better soon.

I did have a sorority sister tonight say she would walk with me when I am ready to get in a routine. I hope I can keep up with her!

It is good to be home.

You can do it - baby steps and your friend walking with you will help. Times passes so fast when one is with a close friend. Blessings to you...

I am so proud of you for trying to get into your routine, give yourself time and you will be back at it. It just takes time, be patient with yourself. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon That is awesome to have Sister join you and support you, that is the best to have someone to support you this way emoticon emoticon

I know what you are talking about-I could not do a thing when I was so sick and it took me over a week to get back on track and now I have upped my walking -you will get there, just take time and don't stress over it.
It is nice you may have a buddy to walk with-that makes the time go a lot faster (at least it does for me!)

Probably better to start in shorter increments though it won't take long to get back up to those 10.000 steps. It would be nice to have a walking buddy, but you're right-I would be wondering if we would walk at the same pace.

I had stopped my 'real walking' over the holidays and was shocked at how long it took for me to get back on track....all month. Just hang in there!

Slow and steady. 5000 steps is not too shabby.

In KZ walking was all you had to do. Back here, 'llI bet you are trying to be superwoman trying to get everything back to normal. Maybe a little B-12 for energy?
