Health and wellness is not just about ourselves but also about those around us. It's not just about the nourishment we put in our bodies but also about the way we approach food for mental health. Life moves so fast and seems to be getting faster between work, children events etc...we are eating on the go.One of my favorite childhood memories was the sunday meal sitting around the table as a family it was the only day we did that. As years went by it seemed to move from the table to the living room with the tv on. But i remained a sitting at the table kind of eater.
I have always had a tenderness for encouraging every Dinner time to sit as a family, shut the tv off - it is family time, laughter, conversation. Even more endearing are the times during the meal preperation standing around in the kitchen engaging, sharing, laughing. It's a great tradition. Personally I am passionate about cooking/baking I find it therapeutic.
