Day 1..A Fiasco

Ok, so this morning my 5 week old phone bites it. I call verizon with my daughter's phone. They say to go to a Verizon store. Idiot cab driver takes us to one in the boonies. They can't do anything, but maybe get me a new one by the end of the week. I hit the roof. Well, maybe he can overnight it to the hotel, but I have to pay the charge since I didn't take insurance on it when I got it. Excuse me the damn phone is only 5 weeks old. I call Verizon remind them that two of our numbers are out of plan in April. They will overnight it free of charge. Ok, I am sitting in the flipping store which cost me $20.00 to get to and will cost another 20 to get back from. The store has the phone right here and they have to ship it to me. How stupid!

Move ahead 4 hours. We walked everywhere after the whole phone fiasco. We were sitting at the Venetian and I looked at my fitbit. It said 8,000 something steps. We walked all thecway back to where we are staying which I believe is a mile. Check fitbit. It is dead again ugh!

My husband felt so bad for me. He bought me a really beautiful Michael Kors purse at the Venetian. I guess he hated my fanny pack that much.

Back to walking again tonight. Having dinner at Caesar's Palace.

    We have Verizon too...never had any problems with our phones or them in many years. You must have just got a lemon. But, I can understand your frustrations, when the phones were right there in the store! What kind of phone was it...because we are about to buy new ones soon. We now have HTS Eris (LOVE that phone-my phone) and Motorola Droid.
    Hope things will go more smoothly soon! I think Fitbit is having many problems, for some others I have heard from too. emoticon

    Still - a day with your family, lots of walking, a new great purse - not really a bad day all in all. Dealing with Verizon is an exercise in frustration, but I don't know that any of the other companies would really be any better. If I really thought they would be I'd be off to the competition in a heartbeat.
