Week three -jan 27 -feb2/13

Well what a day. Got up today like any other day to go through the daily routine. Things did'nt go that way. After my morning shower I stepped onto the bathroom floor only to slip and find myself on my backside. Well I hear my leg snap and new it was broken, so now what. Well thank goodness for sisters. I called her and she was right over to take me to the emergence room. There we spent the next 31/2 hrs waiting for the results from the Dr . Yes my leg was broken.
My next concern was my fitness goals and how do I meet them? The Dr suggested the I would be able to use a stationary bike at the gym after about a week of no weight barring . Well this is going to be my next big challenge as I have not had the courage to go into a gym at this point yet. I have a week to pray and ask for strength to take this step. Maybe this is God's way of helping me to take this next step. It is better to find the positive in the bad than to dwell on the negative.
I will heal and move forward I will not let this set me back from my goals. My old self would have turned to food through this, but I will not let that happen.
This has been some week with some bad things and some very positive things that have happened. I was not able to do any exercising this week but have managed to loss 4lbs I am not sure other than cutting down on my food intake how this happened. I did have a number of Dr appointments which I had to walk to this did take some effort, I am using a walker to walk, crouches just did not work for me.
Thanks to my Sister Maria for all her help this past week I don't know what I would have done without her. You are such a blessing.
Also thanks to all my SP friends who have encouraged me over the last weeks on my journey to health.
