Starting 3rd Clomid Cycle

Monday, January 28, 2013

It's been two months since I lost the pregnancy and my doctor says we can start trying again. As I didn't start my period on my own, he prescribed progesterone to get things started. I take a tiny little pill twice a day for five days. The main side effect I seem to experience is overwhelming tiredness at the end of the day for about three days. Could be worse! After I start, I will take Clomid on days 5-9.

I've been eating better, still too many sweets and such, but more veggies too. Somehow I have managed to keep the house clean (to my extremely low standards of "clean") for the last month. Having the house clean makes me much more likely to cook dinner instead of snacking. Cooking dinner makes it much more likely that I will eat something reasonable. Eating proper food makes me feel much better the next day. Duh.

I just wanted to tell you--I feel like I'm reading my story on your blogs! I have been trying to get pregnant for about a year and a half, and I did Clomid for 4 cycles and got pregnant on the 4th one. I just found out I was pregnant on Christmas. Then, a week later, I started spotting and then miscarried at 6 weeks. I definitely think those few days were the worst day of my life, and an experience I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. It is an absolutely horrible thing to go through, and I'm sorry that you had to experience it. I too am starting Clomid again this week. I just want to say I'm really sorry for your loss of your baby and I am praying for God to bless you with a baby soon! I also wanted to say thanks for sharing your story--it helps me to know that other people understand.
