Letter to my future self (for BLC 21)

Dear April 12th Heidi,

I am so proud of you for what you’ve accomplished during this Biggest Loser Challenge. When you started in January you were unhappy with your weight, unhappy with the direction your health was headed, and you were unhappy with how you looked. Often you even felt despondent for not being able to stick to a healthy lifestyle.

But, this challenge has given you the focus and accountability you needed for taking caring of yourself. And, now, after 12 weeks, you have met your first weight loss goal, you feel better, your look better and you feel happier. You are happier with how your clothes fit and with what you see in the mirror.

You made a commitment to an exercise streak and you stuck to it. By now, exercise should be an ingrained habit so I know you feel stronger and more fit. Your blood pressure will be lower and your health will be improved. You are so much more active now that you were in January.

You will only be less than 10 lbs away from your 2nd weight loss goal. You will have both the tools you need to get there and the confidence. DH also has lost more weight and you are on the road to having the healthy and active family you’ve always dreamed of.

Your persistence and perseverance are paying off. Keep up the good work!
