Motivation, desire, strength

Motivation and desire seem to come from many places within ourselves. Sometimes we respond positively to negative feelings, like shame and anger at ourselves. I think it is ok to allow ourselves to experience the negativity, as long as we don't stay in that set of emotions long, and get ourselves out of as soon as possible and eventually direct it toward the good.
Other times our motivation is external, such as family and friends offering encouragement and positive feedback. Or even a support group or a wellness partner.
Maybe we simply see something more positive for our selves and strive for a new image of who we are.
Or.... we want to feel better, and feel stronger and more of a sense of pride in our accomplishment.
I like to think we need all these elements. And to put them all together into an integrated package to help us along the way will better position us for success.
We need to use all our resources and know what will help us the most at particular times.
2013 will be a good year for us all friends. May we all know where our strengths dwell and call them up at just the right time.
