Beginners Luck?

Monday, January 28, 2013

So this is the first time I have wrote on a blog. I have seen them in movies & heard them being talked about but never took the time to make one. I just started Sparkpeople & I'am really excited about it. I use to cheer in highschool & was always in shape but after graduating & getting married things started to change. Quite frankly I'am tired of it..lol! I have only been on sparkpeople for 3 days & today was a little trying. I had no food in the house suitable for a diet & I was hungry so I broke down & ate something that I Knew I shouldn't. Soo I felt pretty defeated for a couple hours UNTIL I was searching the web & found Zumba on Youtube. I had been wanting to try it but not in front of a bunch of people & I didn't want to buy it incase I didn't like it. Turns out they have a ton of zumba videos to a lot of my favorite songs. I was sooo excited, I did 30 minutes of zumba & burned 125 cal. I felt great. So for a day that didn't start out to great turned around. I just have to not let one bad choice stop my diet all together, I have to move past it & try to do better tomorrow. So my plans tomorrow is to bump up my time doing zumba & try to eat better. wish me some beginners luck.

Remember that there's no such thing as a "bad" food. There are things that are healthy, and things that are unhealthy, but there's no such thing as a "diet" food, and denying yourself the things you enjoy, or beating yourself up because you made a less-than-perfect choice, is a recipe for disaster.

Diets don't work... so don't diet. ;) Stop dieting, and start living!

REmember that this isn't a journey of perfection. You are making habits to last a lifetime... one imperfect choice won't sabotage that!

Most don't like to hear it but... this journey is very trying! There are probably going to be times where you want to give up, because it is exhausting having to do all of this work.
I will say that it is ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT.
Good job on turning the day around!
