It's official. I have finally learned to drink my peppermint tea without sugar. Last summer I would put a teaspoon in. I cut it down to half. Around Thanksgiving I started putting in 1/4 teaspoon. Today is the second time I've had tea in the last 3 days that I have not used any sugar or artificial sweetner.

    Oh, I love peppermint tea also! But I'm a coffee drinker in the mornings. Been weaning the sugar back in my coffee. At this point, it's at a standstill b/c I'm looking back at how much I used to put in it and thinking "I'm saving a tsp of sugar a day!" I should start thinking, "I'm having two unnecessary tsps a day!" I drink two large mugs each morning, with sugar and milk. That's 60 calories every day.
    I enjoy Chia tea on occasion, as well as peach and I have a rosehip/hibiscus tea that is tart and yummy. It all depends on my mood. I take a kick for tea about every 2 months.
    Congratulations on training your taste buds! The body is such an amazing thing. I'm often in awe of how it works despite living in mine for my entire life. LOL!

    Good job! I now prefer peppermint tea plain. Adding sugar makes it taste gross to me. It's amazing how your tastebuds changes.
