So I haven't written a blog in some time and although I may not be logging in all my workouts and food and I am still very conscious of what I do. So for the past few months I joined an all-women's running group. They have daily meet-ups, Facebook page to keep touch, offer encouragement and advice. I love my new group! Whenever we run together, it doesn't matter how long it takes you to finish" your pace, your race" is the motto, there are always women waiting at the finish line to cheer you on! When competing in races they grab the arms of women who may be struggling just so that everyone who started the race finishes and no women is ever left behind. Although it is taking me some time to get into racing form. I am out there, whether it's 60 or 15 degrees, I pound the pavement and give my all. I run as much as my body will allow always trying to run farther than I did the last time. Since starting with my group I've lost almost 12 pounds and I still get in my weekly visits to the gym and zumba. I never thought that after high school I would be thinking about running again but I am and yesterday I went on a solo wog(walk/jog) and completed 6.13 miles and even though I didn't run most of them, I'm not disappointed, there are people who can barley stand let alone walk. I'm on my way and nothing will stop me!
