Want to spend 4 hours with your husband on Sunday?

Monday, January 28, 2013

I chuckled when I read this question with one wife's answer.........she "encourages more women to get involved with the NFL."

“If you want to spend four hours with your husband on Sunday, you may want to watch a game with them and start to understand it."

From Ingrid Harbaugh, wife of John Harbaugh, coach of Baltimore Ravens.

My husband is not a sports person. So that advice won't work for me....he'd rather putter around in his shop and if I hang out there he'll wonder what in the world is wrong with me.

NO, I will not EVER. I will watch the Superbowl, though. And I even bought him his own 5 Dollar Square in the Superbowl Bingo at work. :) That's gotta be enough. Football is much like driving nails into my eyeballs. Something I really try to avoid, lol.

I am a huge football fan, as is my husband. My first love in football is the Nebraska Cornhuskers, but I will watch just about any football game that is on TV. However, NASCAR does not hold the same appeal to me. All I see is a bunch of cars going around and around a track--boring! Hubby loves it however, so I am not looking forward to the beginning of the season which starts next month already!!!

Oh, you can watch without understanding! You are still together.

Well, maybe I should try to understand more, on second thought. I'll check out the article. -Marsha

For me, I know my husband is happy for those 4 hours on Sunday watching football so I can guilt free do anything I want during that time. I listen attentively as he relives the highs and lows when he fills me in. I often watch part of the game but I can't sit for 4 hours no matter what is on the screen. It works for us and that is all that counts. emoticon

I don't like watching football at all. However, dh likes me sitting by him while he watches his games. So, I watch - for his sake. Glad season is almost over though. emoticon

Ha, Ha....dh used to watch NFL when we first got together. Every game,
I would sit, snuggled up on the couch with him and ask him endless questions about the game. What are they doing, why did he do that, where it the ball,
is that a touch down? etc. Needless to say, dh hasn't watched football in
over 10 years. emoticon
