Why didn't I do this before? For the sake of 3....

Monday, January 28, 2013

....I got a HUGE order of the really heavy stuff you hate dragging home from the supermarket delivered right to my hall.

Placed the order online, I never even had to step foot in the store!

Cat litter, tinned and dry cat food, diet soda, bottled water, toilet rolls, fabric conditioner?

We live within walking distance of 3 major supermarkets and 4 smaller ones, so I hate wasting petrol (and running the car battery down) on silly short journeys to get this sort of stuff when otherwise I just walk a couple times a week and buy what I can carry or get the bus home.

I can't believe for the cost of 3 delivery (since I'm home mid afternoon, this is the cheapest slot) I don't have to drive and lug all this stuff by myself!!

I will certainly be doing this again!

I have no idea WHY when we get other deliveries like the Organic Box, that I hadn't considered doing this before.

The moment you find something easier and still wonder why you didn't try it in the first place it's like a smack to the cerebellum!

I really wish that there were stores and such in walking distance of where I live.

The delivery service sounds pretty great. Sometimes I wish there were things like that where I lived!

Not available in my area, but used it 10+ years ago for my dad. He was diagnosed with both Parkinsons and Alzheimers but was able to live on his own for quite some time before we had to be there daily. It was a huge relief to be able to have things taken care of and money well spent!

I haven't got a car. It took me 3 months of lugging Whiskas home from Snaisbury's to crack and I've never looked back. One delivery a month, 2.95 well spent I say.

I like shopping, but they will deliver groceries to my door here too. It's a great service if you are busy though.

If you hate doing something, someone will do it for you, as long as they can make money at it. Started out as delivery for seniors, but 2-3 deliveries an hour, and they pay for the driver completely. Plus you order more groceries, since you might otherwise order food in from the pizzeria, or go to a restaurant, instead of carrying it home.

Win Win situation.

Haha! We don't even have people to put the bags in the car, lol! That sounds like an awesome service - hope that it makes it out to the rural areas, too! It would be so nice to not have to take all the kids shopping... I've heard about people doing that, but never heard how it worked out for them. Thanks for sharing!

I do this for ALL my groceries. I pick up small things if I'm at a store, but the bulk orders, I have delivered. Totally life altering.

Great isn't it, and no being tempted by special offers either, I do it all the time.

THAT would be great! THe closest thing we have to that, is a bagger that will pack up your car for you so you're not doing all the heavy lifting.
