Things change!!

Monday, January 28, 2013

I'm starting over again. Not so much working on my weight, but on how I'm doing it.

I was diagnosed with Hasimoto's disease. I have been told by my doctor, and have done a lot of research and the best way to combat the Hasimoto's is to get rid of carbs in my diet. Not all carbs, just grains (Gluten) I have been following the Paleo diet. Basically it is fruit, vegetables, meat and fish.

I've done it for 2 days. Yes I know, not very long, but so far there are some really interesting things happening. First, I'm not hungry. Second, my blood sugar is AWESOME. Third, I am losing weight. I already feel better.

Now I do have to add that I am also doing a medical cleanse of my body to try to get rid of the toxins in my liver and kidneys. (Left over from the gluten)

I am drinking tons of water, which I know I need, but also I know helps clean me out.

I just got over a bad cold. (one that I got so sick with because I have really low white blood cell, because of the Hasimoto's. )

I feel this is the beginning of a new me. I feel I have hope for the first time in a long time.

Here's to a new day! emoticon
