Motivation, or lack there of

Today I was tasked with taking suggestions for when you go one step back, to get back on track to taking 2 steps forward. In reality, I think it will take more form in trying to stay motivated. I could make a playlist, and in truth, I am most likely going to do that. There are certain songs that I just can't stay miserable if I hear them. Just keep moving, I think will be my motto for the day. Don't give up, just keep moving. Forward. I suppose that too is key. Any forward motion, is good motion. A close second motto for the day might be "Fake it til ya make it".
Songs: Sing, Sing, Sing - Benny Goodman, Ghost of a Smile - The Pogues, Land of a Thousand Dances - Wilson Picket, That Old Black Magic - Louis Prima and Keely Smith, Man with the Hex - The Atomic Fireballs, The Rocky Road to Dublin - by almost anyone really, Friday I'm in Love - The Cure, I'm Just a Singer - The Moody Blues, Crossed Eyed Mary, Aqualung and Locomotive Breath - Jethro Tull
There are others of course, but it's a start.
A new pedometer has been bought. I could take it no more when the one I have been wearing for the better part of 4 years (got it in 2008) said I took 8 steps this morning to the 49 I counted. It's tough enough to stay upbeat when I can see some measure of improvement, but to have my steps be so far off, only discourages me. It was time.
Time to step away from the computer and take a quick walk. Just keep moving. That is the mantra for today.
