Motivational Monday: Day 1

First I'd like to thank anyone who takes the time to read my blog. I'll be updating it every day, I look forward to hearing thoughts from people as they read this.
Though today is the 28th day of 2013 and I joined SP basically on New Years Day today is my first day really using the site. Why? Well, I admit some of the reasons are excuses. Originally my plan was to get through the holiday season. This means Thanksgiving to mid January as after New Years there is my birthday, my husband's birthday, and our wedding anniversary all within a week of eachother. I decided to not limit myself during that time. I wanted to enjoy it. Which I really did, up until our wedding anniversary that is. My father in law called on our anniversary begging us to fly him over to us because he had broken up with his girlfriend and had nowhere to go. Of course we couldn't say no. So, he ended up sleeping on our couch for 10 days. Every day was an exercise of pain and frustration. Needless to say we were continuously fed lies and eventually asked him to leave. So here we are, the end of January and life is just now starting to get back to normal from last year.
Eleanor Roosevelt said "with the new day comes new strength and new thoughts. " And that is my motivation for today. It's a new day in a new week in a new year. I'm going to start anew with new strength and new, positive thoughts.
With that in mind I'll be tracking my food, doing some gentle yoga, and eating something healthy and tasty. Outside of my health I'll be working out my mind by catching up on a few of my online Coursera courses I'm registered for. And if I have time after all of that I might even write a short story! We will just have to see how the day goes.
