Proverbs 31:30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. 31 Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates. K.J.V. in Public domain www.biblegateway.com/pas

Devotional thought: I love Proverbs 31. Fear of God is good. Yet! did you see what it says in Titus 2? We are to Obey our Husband. In today's world to say a women is to obey her husband sounds out of date and even wrong but Jesus is the same daily. He does not change. What does His Word say any way about a women duty to home, Hubby, and family?. Answer We are to Obey! What is more the marriage will be blessed as we humble our self's and obey Him. After 40 years of a great marriage I have found it is a blessing in deed to obey.

However: (We do not have to obey a ungodly commands, I do not feel that is what it is saying.)

Titus 2:3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;
4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, 5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. K.J.V. in Public Domain

Titus 2: 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. K.J.V. in Public Domain

Psalms 19:8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.K.J.V. in Public Domain

  LOved your blog. Yes, we are to obey our husbands. It is scriptural. My husband makes it easy to obey. He treats me sooo very good; like an equal not overbearing, and he loves me like Christ does the Church. When I was young I dated a few different guys, but never enjoyed being with any of them. I prayed for God to send me the right one and for me not to date until the prayer would be answered. I thought I had made a mistake Ha! for I didn't date for a long time. Little did I know one state below me, my husband was praying for God to send the right woman. We met in college.... of all places in the lunchroom and been eating every since. Ouch! Now we are both trying to get healthier. I didn't ask him to do that. He just wanted to because I was. We have been together 44 years in Sept. He has been the one and only. I am so glad I saved myself for Him.

    I made the mistake of marrying a man who was unsaved because I thought surely he would accept Jesus soon since he wanted to be a good person. Then all of our marriage I kept having to think of anything he told me was whether it would be a Christian thing to do. Even then I made some mistakes since I couldn't foresee what the results would be. I finally left when I felt his behavior was endangering the lives of our children and my life.
