Today ended up a rushed day to get a new dog. I called a friend to ask about ACD lines and what would be good for a possible therapy dog, which I would like to bry to do with one. She said she had one that she would give me who is very sweet and laid back that she thought would be good. We were going to meet next month, but she was about half way here today, so we met today. Cassie does love people and she is just fine having a cat around. Orzo (the cat), unfortunately, does not like having Cassie around. He attacked her. So I will have to keep Cassie in a crate when I am gone unless it is warm enough to leave her outside in a run at those times.

It's comfortable having a cat and dog in the house again. I just hope it doesn't take too long for Orzo to get along with Cassie. Cassie will give me a nice walking pardner, too, so maybe I can eventually get up to walking a 5k. I know that doesn't sound like much, but it will be quite a bit for me.
