I have been so incredibly busy over the past several months. I have been going to school full-time and working part-time. During the holidays, I didn't get to enjoy my break from school-- instead, I worked 8-14 hour days (the extra money was certainly nice). I have gotten all of my debt paid off (except for my school loans, which I have made payments on). I've been able to maintain my weight-loss for the most part, but I did gain about 5 pounds over the holidays. I haven't lost them, but I have been trying to refocus lately and am definitely working on it. It has been difficult to manage my time lately, so I have slacked on my workouts. In addition to work and school, I have to volunteer this term in order to receive credit for one of my classes. Talk about very little time! I have been trying to work out at least 3 days a week, and have been successful for the most part.
I have a vacation planned for the middle of July. The plans aren't set in stone yet-- I haven't decided between Vegas or Mexico, but both involve a bikini. That means it's time to get my behind in gear! I don't want to be skinny fat. I want to be FIT! I feel okay at my current weight, but I want to lose about 10-15 more pounds and get more toned, especially my arms and abs. That means I need to focus on better nutrition. I was quite proud of myself today-- I went grocery shopping, and the worst items I bought were Dave's Killer Bagels (all organic, whole grains, and seeds) and some whole wheat wraps with flax. I bought tons of fruits (some dried) and vegetables (I admit, some are frozen). I have been doing pretty well avoiding sweets and junk food. When I do have a craving for something sweet I have a small piece of dark chocolate or Chobani Greek yogurt. I need to make sure I get up just a little earlier everyday in order to fit in at least 30 minutes of exercise. I have 6 months until my vacation...I can do this!
