Why didn't anyone tell me almond butter was SO FREAKING GOOD???

Okay to be fair, I've totally read about almond butter in plenty of articles on SP. But I always figured, ehh it's almonds. Almonds are one of the blander nuts. I like almonds, but they don't taste like a whole lot when you just eat them raw. (Though I do love almond flavor in cookies or cereal or marzipan or whatever.)
So I wasn't too interested, and never bought any because it's pricey...but I saw some at Wal-mart recently for what seemed like a pretty good price, and figured hey, that's something I've never tried before. And I do love trying new foods!
WHOA IT'S SO GOOD.
I mean, it's not like it's *better* than peanut butter. It's just different. But it's definitely delicious!!

Also appearing in the new food rotation recently is gooseberries. I found some fresh gooseberries at the local Harris Teeter, which always has interesting and unusual produce, but I read that they would be very tart and are generally cooked in pies or jellies. I do, in fact, have some gooseberry jam in the fridge right now. So I was thinking the berries would be unpleasantly tart to eat fresh, but I wanted to try them anyway. Turns out...they were also delicious!! Tart, sure, but not SUPER tart. I will totally get them again (though not too often, since they were a bit $$$$ compared to other fresh fruits I could get).
Anyways. I'm still super excited about my almond butter. :) Gonna mix it with cocoa powder and, I don't know, do something chocolatey with it, gonna bake cookies, gonna have AB&J sandwiches, all kinds of fun stuff!
