sucky diet :(

Sunday, January 27, 2013

My diet isn't as good as it should be, I eat too much bread, brownies and cake. I try to eat veggies at every dinner, but I tend to eat too much at dinner time. Instead of eating just one plateful I eat two even if I'm not hungry. I'm going to start working on that today, cut back on bread and stop at 1 platefuls and learn selfcontrol when it comes to brownies and cake. Chocolate is my downfall, it gets me every time! There was a time when I thought that I was doing well with self control but I relasped and splurged on it. I believe that cutting back on bread and chocolaty, sweet stuff will help me lose weight... I believe that sacrafices must be made to better myself for the long run.

Come on sweetie, you can beat this thang. Remember, nutrition is 80% of the plan. Get that right and then you need less time at the gym. So snap out of it, focus, and keep the faith.

Ya think???? LMAO A fellow choco-holic, I see. I read a thought provoking article from another spark buddy....I guess they have had the GMO wheat since the 70s, and when they modified the wheat all those years ago, they have now found that most of the wheat that is used to make the food products here in the U.S. actually contain an ingredient that is geared to 'turn on' the hunger centers of your brain.....

I mean....really....I can't tell you how many times I have said that when I go back to eating the way I used to, that I am literally hungry all of the time. I think when you eat too much of the heavy carbs like brownies, cakes, most breads, etc., it becomes a self-defeating thing that just keeps you coming back to them time and time again. But really, if you re-read what you already know exactly what you need to do, so why am I telling you? LOL But I 'feel your pain'......chocolate, breads, etc. have always been my biggest downfalls, and pretty much the reason I put this weight on to begin with all those years ago. (sigh)

You can do it! It is difficult, but make chocolate a reward, rather than the norm. Maybe focus on getting a special, expensive chocolate and say that is the only chocolate you'll eat. emoticon
