"It's Just What I Do Now"....update

Sunday, January 27, 2013

My 2 rule plan has been working (see entry Jan 19th) Having just two rules makes decision-making so much simpler.

I have been following my "rule 1" by eating mostly "healthy" foods
(there were a few "other" foods eaten (potato chips, 2 diet pops, 4 beers, peppermint candy,
a few cookies) but that was for a whole week, so I don't think that's all that bad. It is a great improvement from previous weeks. I notice that I am eating a lot of fruits and veggies, lean protein, but am not much interested in anything else.

I have increased my exercise SO much and it feels great! I did keep with the plan for the whole week. There was one rest day that I did not exercise at all, but I am going to consider that therapeutic. I kind of felt that I needed it. I started taking Zumba locally and love it. I have tried a variety of work-out tapes including belly dance, hip hop, and ballet. I have also been lifting weights, using bands, and stretching.

As far as the rest of my just seems like I have so much free time! (?) It just seems like all my other tasks are so much easier and go so much faster. Everything seems to get done that needs to....I had a simple routine that I had developed to get basic tasks done and I am just following that kind of on autopilot. Then I have more time for relaxing, reading, creativity, and fun.

So far, so good!!!!

Sounds like you are doing great.

Isn't Zumba the best. I love it so, so much.

Two great rules. So smart -- keeping it simple -- and seeing it happen. I can hear your joy!

    Sounds great!

I'm glad you gave yourself a "therapeutic" day off.... I was a little worried your exercise rule might be a little unsustainable in the long term. (Even professional athletes have downtime.) Then again, sounds like you're thriving. :-)

Looking forward to more updates!

I love this for you and feel the same way some days. And naturally, we all have THOSE DAYS that just never seem to start or end. They seem to last forever but you have no energy to go on. That is when I know I am due for a rest day. I take one every month! LOL

I am happy to see your bright spirit all shiny and happy! You are a beacon to us all, and know that living a "simple" life is good for you in all kinds of ways! I am living proof!
