Finally... 60 pounds lost, my reward, and my shrinking feet!

Sunday, January 27, 2013

emoticon Although it felt like it took forever to get from 45 pounds lost to 60 pounds lost, as of this morning, I am finally there!! Only 6.2 pounds from Onederland- Only 15 pounds until I'm no longer obese- Only 47 pounds until I'm at my goal weight!

60 pounds lost was one of my milestones that I had a reward set: a new pair of shoes! This couldn't have come at a better time as far as that is concerned because my favorite flats had gotten to a point where they were looking, and fitting, pretty bad. The weird thing is, at my heaviest weight, I wore a size 9 wide (I'm 5'7"), but now I wear a size 8.5 regular. Hmm... I understand the width of my foot shrinking, but not really the length.

Anyway, I ended up buying myself 3 new pairs! I don't wear heels (I have scoliosis, and my doctor says heels are a major no-no for me), so they aren't anything sexy, but I love them! Snakeskin loafers (I wasn't sure about these until I tried them on, but they are super cute!), cranberry colored casual flats, and a really cute pair of silver ballet flats with a buckle on the toe. And the best part- they were all on sale, so I got all 3 pairs for the price I was planning on paying for 1 pair.

Next reward was supposed to be at 75 pounds lost, but I found a super cute wallet on sale (for $9, was $40!), so that is going to be my reward at 65 pounds!

It's such fun watching your status keep coming closer to onederland. I try not to check my own weight too frequently because I know I fluctuate a fair bit based on hydration and exercise so I think half my weigh-ins would be up from the day before, but you're going down, down, down!

And I totally support rewarding yourself earlier. My gifting philosophy has always been to give the gifts when I find the right ones, not when the "occasion" warrants, so why not for yourself as well? Besides, 15 lbs takes more work when you weigh less...

Woohoo!! So proud of you ;)

When I went to have my shoes properly fitted a month or so ago, the guy there said that a lot of times, people with bigger feet have "stuff" on top of the foot, which can cause you to adjust the length of the foot when really it's the... girth? Dunno!

Congratulations on cute shoes, am very jealous!

I noticed the same thing with my feet, I wear a medium width now instead of a wide one. And my feet look bony lol.
