PAIN vs. Pool

Sunday, January 27, 2013

On Friday, when I went for pool therapy, I was so pleased with myself. I did plenty of exercises and I rested between each set.

I thought that was the right thing to do. Boy was I wrong.

I have spent all of Saturday in pain. I took pain pills, they did not seem to work. I would have gone to the ER if I had thought it would have done me any good.

I was up at 4am this morning using the Tens machine on my knee.

At least I was able to fix myself some breakfast this morning. Did not go to Church.

Self pool therapy a bad thing? Maybe....

Does all of this pain mean that I will be quitting my self pool therapy. No way. I will just have to regroup and figure out something else.

I will be going back Monday. Maybe I need to do a lot more floating and less hard exercises in the pool.

I am paid up for a month, so I need to figure this out.

Blessings to all.

Don't give up! You just need to figure out what you can do at your current fitness level that will not cause you pain.
I exercise too and my body and muscles will feel some soreness after that. i will not do any routine that cause me pain. If I feel my body too painful the next day, I will stop and give myself a break and only exercise the day after that.
Push yourself but always listen to your what your body is telling you too.
    Happy workout.

Don't try to do them all. From experience, I know! Trust me!

I'm so sorry you are in pain. I've been in pain for 3 days after having some teeth pulled. Take it easy and let the pain work out then regroup and take it easier on Monday. ((Hugs))

What a disappointment! Don't give up. As you said, just regroup!

You can find the way through this. I love the pool but have to be careful of my knees too. Is there someone there you can ask? At our fit ness center, any of the staff will answer and/or make suggestions when asked about what or how to safely do things when there is a possible problem. Even in the group ae robi cs cla sses, they will stop or suggest alternatives if they know of a possible limitation.

    Hope you feel better quickly.
