OK. I’m not weighing in “officially” (i.e., reporting on weigh-in threads with two of my teams, and recording on Sparkpeople) until February 5. Yet, I am going to be weighing myself every day. Sound crazy? Yep. I know. I just cannot bear to see a backslide instead of progress, be it on paper or even digitally. Am I deluding myself? Um, I like to think of it as protecting myself from a depressing downward spiral .This should be the KITA I need to get back down and then some…and that’s all I have to say about THAT.
I went with coworkers to the Polar Plunge yesterday to raise money for the Special Olympics. My Fitbit clocked in plenty of walking (over 6 miles) and it was really, really COLD so I hope that burned some calories! I did not plunge, but I did have a nice time. I was really enjoying listening to the “Amish Outlaws” and having a beer, but the hubby could not handle the loud music so we ending up having to leave early. Too bad, because I was really enjoying hanging with the team outside of work. Next year I will leave the old ball and chain at home. Ha haha ha!
Here is a pic with an adorable donkey that was at the Plungefest:
LESS SPARKING = More Sleep and More Exercise
I have concluded that I need to “Spark less and move more”. Please do not take offense if I am unable to check in with all of you on a regular basis. I really do appreciate all of you and I am rooting for you even if I do not have time to check in regularly. I work a lot and have a long commute and could no longer justify getting up an hour earlier to spark and feeling exhausted all day. The way I see it, if I have limited time I need to be making better use of it in reaching my goals. In other words, if I have time to spark an hour a day, I really should be exercising an hour a day instead. Make sense?
Off to get in some walking
and get some veggies
to make veggie soup for the week.
