Yesterday was big celebration. A 77 yr old lady has been loving on and feeding the homeless for 25 years. She started out from not even knowing there were homeless to now feeding over 900. What is amazing is that 900 people get fed and she has never once asked for funds, does not have a sign up sheet of who will bring what food or who will do what job. Her secret is that she prays every night all night. She knows her Source intimately. When she began, she would take peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and offer them along with prayer. She has never stopped offering prayer. The stories of the peoples lives that have been changed over these 25 years is tremendous. Prayer will do that. In the years that I have been going with her, I am one of those who have been changed. I have learned that I can get by with so much less because I truly have so much that matters. Things are just that - things. People though are amazing - creations of God made in His image. Now that is mind blowing. I am so thankful to God that He placed in my life this power dynamo who has loved me enough to encourage me, correct me, push me, and put her foot square on my butt when I have needed it. I have been given so much - God has truly blessed me.
