scales

Sunday, January 27, 2013

I am not depending on only my scale to tell if I am getting more healthy/losing weight, but it is nice to see the numbers on the scale decrease and I like doing a weekly weigh in (did I just say I like weighing myself?) With that said my scale seems so different then the other ones I have checked - My mother in laws says I am 6 pounds lighter than mine reads ( I should mention I love love love her scale LOL) and my doctors says I am 4 pounds heavier ( so I do not look when they weigh me) - mine was a very cheap scale and seems to be different all the time -- so this morning I weighed myself 3 times right in a row and got 3 different weights - I think I need a new scale - any suggestions on brands (other than taking my mil's scale emoticon )

I like my Digital Scale. The most important thing is to make sure it is on a flat hard surface when you use it. If the floor gives in any way, it will change the reading.

I don't know about brands but this made me think. I happen to sometimes move the scale around a few centimetres here and there in the bathroom when weighing myself and it usually gives me different readings too. I hope this doesn't mean I need to get a new scale as this one is only like 4 years old and it wasn't cheap at all emoticon

Well, I hope you find your favourite scale, preferably close to your MIL's emoticon

I have a digital one from Target.
The cheaper kind. The one that shows you your weight only.
A friend of mine has a digital one that will keep track of your weight for a week, show you your body fat percentage, etc.
What are you looking to get out of you new scale?
If you are looking for just a regular scale the Target brand (Home) one works pretty well. I did have to replace the battery after a year (I use my scale every day, though) but it was a cheap lithium battery that you can get at any Target, Walmart, etc.
Hope that helps!
