My new kitten, Khaleesi Ladybug is practically perfect. When I got her, she snuggled right into her bed and laid there during almost the entire drive home. She was even purring in there.
Then when I got her home I put her ladybug collar on her and she was fine with that.
Last night she stayed in her bed the whole time and slept. When she got up this morning I showed her where her food was and she ate some. Then I showed her where her little box was. Since then she has just been hanging out on my bed with me and Brownie.
But my dog, Brownie, is really and truly pissed off. Last night she was so angry with me that she would not take a treat. She will stalk the kitten, bark at the kitten, and once even tried to nip at the kitten. She got into trouble for that. When the kitten slept in her little bed away from me at first Brownie sat at the end of my bed and watched the kittens bed. Then, when she saw that I was now ignoring the kitten, she acted a little bit more like normal.
This morning Brownie is back at it and barking and getting angry if I pay attention to the kitten. She's sniffing at the kitten. The kitten laid there and let Brownie sniff every part of her. Now the kitten is trying to just lay down in my lap and Brownie is very upset.
I told Brownie that cats really don't do anything and aren't like dogs but she isn't listening. I told her that she was my #1 forever and always but she's still very upset.
But Khaleesi is almost the perfect kitten. She is playing with Brownie right now and winning Brownie over.
I was going to go to church and get there early and give blood and .....
But due to my new desire to stay home, slow down, and get the things I need to get done here first, I am skipping that. Which should give me a good solid 4 hours of time to study.
Have a great day everyeone!
