"It's time for me to start over," she says, sat at her desk eating the pancakes with bacon and maple syrup that her housemate has just brought to her room. "Gotta get back on that horse."
Yes, okay - a stronger woman than me would have refused the pancakes, but my housemate had gone to the trouble of surprising me and I need to use up that bacon, which I accidentally bought two lots of without realising (all healthy bacon recipe suggestions appreciated).
My last blog entry was six months ago, almost to the day, and I'd just completed my first ever race in record time! What's changed since then...?
Not much, basically.
Various factors have meant that I haven't been running since then. Weather, work, new house, more work, and so forth. You'll all be happy to know that I've kept up pole dancing, and can do some pretty kick-ass stuff now. (If you're interested, this is the move that I achieved last week: www.youtube.com/watch?v=
I haven't got many pictures (usually too busy) but there is this one:
On a non-weight related side, I wrote a 50,000 word novel in the month of November as part of National Novel Writing Month, a feat of which I am incredibly proud, and I took up art again. (Shameless excuse to show off my latest piece.)
I'm practically becoming a well-rounded individual.
But all in all, I've slipped. Although, despite gaining back some of the weight I lost, though not all, I've become far more comfortable in my my body and who I am thanks to a special someone who managed to convince me that the way I see myself is not the way that everyone else sees me.
But as of today, I'm going to try and make it back again. Because it's the final year of my degree right now, and I have the potential to get back to a really bad place - what with my dissertation, and my final exams looming, it would be so easy to slip back into really bad eating habits and never exercise - and be able to justify it to myself.
So, here's to starting again (again) and pushing forward for success!
