Coming Up for Air

Sunday, January 27, 2013

Last Thursday I decided that it would be a good ides to take all those little piles you stick here and there when company comes and pile them up on the kitchen table to finally conquer them. Not sure if everyone has these piles but I sure do. They're the ones that start off with a receipt you're not sure if you should throw away, then mail, the a drawing your son brought home from school, and so on. Then your mother in law say she's coming up so Quick stuff the pill in here! And then the next day you start a new pile. Before you know it you start opening doors to a bunch of piles.
Anyway, this is where I have been. Drowning in my piles. I am happy to say I am almost done! Just a few more little things I have to figure out where in the world they should go and I'm done!!
I'm so proud of myself. I have cleaned out our bedroom closet, our hall closet, the chest in our room, under the bed, the armoire in my office that the printer is in and most of the mysterious piles were in, and a couple of the shelves that had a couple of stacks of papers as well. I'm on a role!! It feels good!!
Today I'm going down to SC to visit my grandmother. It feels good to come up for air. No cleaning out today! :)

P.S. This is not me! lol!

I hate them too and nevertheless they are everywhere in my home and no where worse than the computer/office space !! I hate the mail sometimes because just when you have under control .... more mail to do something with ...... ERRRRRR !!!

they say that it changes your mental health to clean these up so

Yes, I have a big pile of necessaries (I think) next to the telephone in the kitchen. My husband affectionately called it "Mt. Wendy" - hee, hee. emoticon

I have piles everywhere! Yours couldn't have been very big if you've gotten through them already! emoticon Maybe today I'll tackle one or two!

Have fun in SC - what part are you journeying to? I used to live there, and have family in Hartsville and Columbia still.

I understand the piles! I have two places that are hot spots and they start out exactly as you say....one receipt that you don't know what to do with. Good for you for attacking the piles...must feel great! emoticon
