So I keep reading about having these medium- and short-term goals everywhere. I used to have some in the Other Goals section, but they disappeared somehow and I don't know how to make them show up again. It's not too big a deal for me though.
Anyway, I figured it'd be nice to have something for myself to look forward to so I thought I might create a rewards system for myself, as well as some medium-term goals. It could, perhaps, serve as more motivation for myself. So here goes nothing...
Starting weight: 285 lbs. 8/2/12
280 - 9/28/12
Returned, starting weight: 279 lbs. 1/22/13
260 - go to a movie
240 - new hair color/style
220 - new piece of jewelry
200 - new purse
190 - new swimsuit
170 - new outfit
150 - GOAL REACHED! go celebrate!
I'm sure once I get to these achievements, they'll be a lot more exciting than simply listing them off right now. I admit, though, that reading them over does excite me somewhat so who knows? :)
A somewhat unrelated goal would be I'd like to move to California in the future. Perhaps go to a college there and build my own independent life there. :) I'd also like to visit a few countries around the world. I want to enjoy those experiences and I feel like I wouldn't be able to with my current overweight self.
Well, there we go. Now all I have to do is look at these goals and rewards everyday to motivate me even more! I hope it doesn't make me go overboard, though, because I have been exercising everyday and each time, I didn't want to stop!
