Ticker Begins

Sunday, January 27, 2013

I LOVE seeing my ticker tick! Almost more than seeing the numbers go down on the scale, I love seeing my ticker move its way along the banner to the finish line towards my goal weight. I see it as a marathon that will take a lot of work to finish but when I do get to the end I know I will feel a sense of accomplishment like no other. Honestly, watching my little soccer ball move is a percentage of what keeps me going and the further it gets away from the start line, the wider the smile on my face becomes.

Today marks the official first day of my calorie aware, healthy eating diet plan and I couldn't be more excited. Everything is falling into place now. I'm back at school and getting ready for classes, I got my nails done so I won't bite them anymore, I got a bunch of sugar-free candy to keep my cravings down; I'm ready for this! emoticon

I also can't wait until my next weigh in because I'm positive it is going to be even lower than it was today. So at the official start of my diet I weigh 169.2lbs and I want to lose 64.2lbs in 30 weeks.... I'm starting a new chapter and I hope it takes me to a happy and exciting ending.

Good start. I am looking forward to seeing the ticker move toward the goal to. I am only using my official weigh-in at the gym on Tuesdays.

emoticon You go for it! Be careful with the "sugar-free" candy, much of it contains "Sorbitol" which can give you a lot of abdominal bloating, gas, and even diarrhea if you eat too much! I know because I am diabetic and was precautioned about it in my Diabetic Classes.
