My mother got me this book and I am SO excited!
It's "Healthy Bread in Five Minutes a Day" by Jeff Hertzberg and Zoe Francois, the people who wrote "Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day." It's got TONS of wonderful-looking recipes for bread and various similar foods, all made pretty healthfully! Many are whole wheat or 100% whole grains, all of them have SOME kind of whole grain in them, there's a whole chapter on breads with hidden fruits/veggies, there's a chapter of recipes for pastries and baked treats using healthier ingredients, there's a gluten-free section (not that I eat gluten-free, but it's nice to have)....I am so excited, I can't wait to start baking fun interesting breads! Algerian bread, an Indian flatbread stuffed with potatoes and peas, chocolate espresso bread, carrot bread, beet buns, bread made with leftover cooked brown rice, quinoa bread, oatmeal bread, pumpernickel, challah....there's so many delicious-sounding things to try!
