My fitbit bit it. It is only 2 months old. I am so glad I only paid 11.00 for it, but I did use up my Amazon points. I have found that it is not quite as accurate as a good old fashioned pedo. It doesn't count stairs if they are not a certain incline, but it does count the incline on your treadmill as steps if the incline is high enough. It also does not count steps while you are marching in place. However, if you do high knees high enough in place, you have gone up a flight of stairs. I will get a replacement, but I think they have to work some of the bugs out. I have heard of people who have been through 4 of these in a year.

I will take my old faithful pedo with me on vacation.

My eating could have been horrible today, but it wasn't as I didn't like the food so I chose not to eat it. It was a new restaurant in town that someone recommended we try. Yuck! Then we got Cousin's for dinner as our Fridge is kind of empty because of the trip. They put on a ton of mayo. I rebuilt the sandwich by scrapping off the mayo and cutting off 3 inches of bread. They give you so little turkey that you don't need all that bread.

I didn't get in any exercise today. I actually stopped the phone calls and I slept late and watched TV until it was time to go. I am always frazzled before we leave on a trip as I am always worried about how the UC will deal. I am fine once I get on the plane. My blog tomorrow will probably be from the plane as it is over a 3 hour flight so I will pay for the WIFI on board. Can't be without my electronics :)

Hope you have a wonderful vacation!!! You deserve it!!

So sorry about your fitbit. I think that you got a damaged one. I have heard that Fitbit's customer service is really great. I would try them and tell them your problems. I have had a fitbit for a couple of years, I love it!!! I wouldn't live without one!!! If mine broke I would order one immediately and next day air it. I don't have the new one that measures stairs, that is a new feature, but I think that would be really neat.

I'm thinking about getting a Fitbit - this gives me pause. I was looking at their site and the new wrist band one looks really cool, but if the quality is that low on the original...

I have a good pedometer, but the other features are what have me interested.

Have a great holiday. I am glad that you commented on your FitBit. I too read Andy's blog and he is raving about his. The good old basic seems to be the safer bet for me too.
