Success Is Not Accidental; It is Planned!

Saturday, January 26, 2013

So I have been doing some thinking over the past weeks. (I had a lot of time indoors trying to get well). One thing that I realize more and more each day is that success is not accidental; but success is planned. Ok, I will explain. We all make goals each year, month, week, & day. Most of us can follow the minute (i.e. small) goals daily. For example we say, I am going to go to the grocery store tomorrow, or be at work at 8 am for a meeting. You may even make plans to cook dinner that will last a week or something as simple as we plan to bring lunch to work. So we prepare - package our lunch (sometimes leftover dinner) the night before. We we PLAN IT! We don't even realize it, but we make this small plans and we ultimately follow through with them. That makes those "small" goals successful!

I am challenging myself in the month of February to make PLAN my success! What does that mean? Very simple. I have a few goals related to my health, business and personal goals. I am going to plan to be successful.

Start today thinking of some small goals that you can accomplish in the month of February! Do not get to overwhelm, just what can you realistically accomplish next month. Make these short term goals - WRITE THEM DOWN!!!

I simply challenge you to do the same. Once we lean how to be plan your success, we can be successful in every area of our lives!

PLAN SUCCESS!!!

Easy to "think and say it"...why is it so hard to do it??? Steviebee569 hit the nail on the head!!! You only have to read our successful Sparkfriends blogs to see who is planning and succeeding, and others, like mine, that keep starting over because I haven't planned well, or haven't stuck to the plans.

With February just a few days away, this is the perfect time to plan out the month ahead. I'll pull out my calendar as soon as I get home from church and do just that!

Totally true! Most people stumble because they're caught off guard - someone offers them food choices they should turn down, but because they didn't plan ahead, they end up eating things they shouldn't. If you don't plan your exercise it doesn't just magically happen!

I pick really really small goals each month, cause I don't like to fail! It takes longer to get things done, but they DO get done! Great blog - thanks!

I follow the motto, if I fail to plan, plan to fail. I wrote out my February fitness goals. I need to plan my success for my finances, career, and spirituality. Thanks for the reminder and much success to you with your goal setting.
