Our winter wonderland

Saturday, January 26, 2013

It generally snows here about once a year and every year we are surprised at the white stuff. I grew up in winter weather and did learn to drive in it, but choose not to. Too many other people didn't learn but feel compelled to try. A friend asked me "Why does snow make people think "I need to go to buy something, anything right now in the snow?"" Not a clue.

So snow and freezing water on the inlet. Didn't stop the ducks.

Of course, the only thing growing in the garden is rosemary.

And then there's me... chillin'... literally!

Stay warm folks! Spring is almost here (I hope, I hope!)

Glad that stuff stayed up north with you! ducks must have small brains and very fluffy feathers! Brrrrrrr. I'm with you choosing NOT to drive in that stuff- you look very content. All is well in our worlds.

Rosemary looks good, it's nice that it can keep growing in the winter. I love the picture of you. Probably our northern ducks sitting in the water, nothing seems to bother them. *laughing* Thanks for sharing your winter. Stay warm!!

Yes, my Rosemary did not freeze either, looks very cold. I am with you can't wait for spring. It warmed up here but we are having rain. I did move some garden beds before the rain started.

Oh, love you jacket. Cute picture of you. Funny how Ducks do not mind harsh weather. Rosemary plant looks good. We lost most of our plants do to freezing weather.
