For those that wanted the recipe for the chocolate thingy really it is just 4 ingredients,
for real......

4 or 5 whites, whisk till soft peaks and then added a scoop of protein powder and then I also folded in a mixture of unsweetened cocoa and hot water....mixed together for form a paste.

That was it!

IN the pans and in the oven at 375 degrees until a toothpick came out clean.

I have been busy ALL DAY and so I am posting this now so that you can report tomorrow's stats here. I will be busy ALL DAY tomorrow too.

I made a special trip to the grocery store to get my Spelt bread so that I could have my very South African Avo ( Avocado) on toast and they did not have it! Ugh!
So I made the next best choice, organic sourdough bread.
SO what does that tell me? Was the gas caused by the whole grains a few days ago? effect from the sourdough whole grain toast.

ALso no effect from the Soy milk,
that leaves 3 possible culprits:


I am going to wait until after the 30 day Challenge is up to reintroduce them.

I had some dairy can't blame me for having some ORGANIC cream cheese from DENMARK, top quality and only 3 ingredients! Next to the tub of the other stuff with all those unpronounceable ingredients, it tasted heavenly, Okay it cost $1.50 more than the regular stuff, but it was worth it, AND my DD likes it, she will not eat any other cream cheese.

They had tasters at the store and that is how we found this stuff.

I am SUCCESSFULLY STILL sugar and coffee free.
I must say I am still thinking about coffee, it is taking longer for me to get the coffee thing out of my system this time, and I know it is because of the amount of it I was having before I kicked the habit. ( 10 cups!!)

I made sugar free, spelt pound cake yesterday (for a function I have tomorrow) and I flavored it with lemon and lime! It is also dairy free!

As the challenge closes I am starting to prepare myself for maintenance mode.

What that means is that I will not eat the things on my challenge as a rule, but then I will have dairy on occasion, but mostly not. When I do have dairy it will be organic or goat's milk.
As a rule I avoid wheat and most grains, but on occasion ( like when they don't have my spelt bread at the store) I will pick the next best organic option. I still don't eat corn ( It is a GMO food) and as a rule of thumb I don't eat sugar. If I do it is under the same circumstances at the "get out of jail" card was....with a meal, preceded by salad and protein.
I will continue to go without coffee as a rule, because then when I DO have one it will be all the more of a treat! AND the best thing is that I have half the amount and I am satisfied. BUT the cut off limit is 2 cups a day. IF THAT....and it will probably NOT be first thing in the morning.

A 30 day challenge is good for breaking habits and getting back your taste buds.....but cutting out that WHOLE List for an extended period of time means that you may miss out on some nutrients. But now you are far more in control and are far more able to "hear" your body signals!

AND...I know why I wanted to eat a cow yesterday..... TOM showed up today! Oh no, bad timing for my weigh in for the end of the challenge! OH well!

    I like you plan for after the challenge is over. Like you, I'll be more aware of what I eat and drink but won't be quite as strict. Life happens...

    Used my get out of jail card tonight at the dinner foru neighbor. Ended up having the thinnest slice of almond cake, did great with the rest, followed the plan with the salad first and one serving only. Didn't endulge. Still in control. Tomorrow I have to watch the urge to keep going for sugar. I'm in control.
    After the challenge? Mix in some of the foods but not going back to everyday sugar. Not making bread a daily thing either. Coffee yes, dairy, ok. Limiting my cheese consumption- very much so.
    Time went fast. Thought it was going to be harder somehow.

    Glad that you enjoyed your SA Avo!! Yum - I bought one yesterday, too, although the season is nearly over here and the price was exorbitant - but ... since I am not spending all that money on hard cheeses any more, what's an avo here or there?

    I have found a stunning Greek Yogurt that is much thicker than my usual brand - like you, it was second choice and turned out better - and with seeds and chopped nectarine added it was a perfect treat after my neighbourhood walk today - rest day.

    Why not wait till 1 Feb for weigh in?
