Sick again

Saturday, January 26, 2013

This week didn't start out very good. I started having a problem with my diverticulitis. It hurt so bad and then I started passing blood so I couldn't get into the pool then here comes Thursday and my grandson was having some problems at work so there came the stress eating. But to my happiness today I got to get back into the pool for 65 minutes and got back on track with my food. I have realized that we all have ups and downs so we just have to get back up and keep on pushing and working on getting healthy. We can do this together. It just takes time and is not a one time fix it. It is a life style change.

Yap! I suffer to. It truly is about being mindful of what and how much we eat at one time. Well let's not forget de-stressing.

I have diverticulosis, which can flare up to diverticulitis, if you eat the wrong foods or not drink too much water. I know the feeling-it is painful! Usually if I drink lots of water if I get an attack it helps. If it lasts more that 3-4 days, I have to go to the Dr. for antibiotics. Take care!
A lifestyle change takes awhile, especially like most of us who have ate the wrong foods for so long and not exercised at all (including me)! One day at a time! emoticon emoticon

Beualah, it's good to hear that you were able to get back into the pool today! My Mom suffered with diverticulitis for many, many years, so I know how miserable it can make you feel.
