Dad meeting Jackson (pic)

Saturday, January 26, 2013

I took dad to meet his great great grandson today. He said he had forgotten how small babies were but he was sure smiling while holding him that little guy.

There was one bittersweet moment when he mentioned my brother Dave and how he just couldn't get over the fact that Dave was gone. But he also said that a new life came into the world too. (For those who don't know my brother died just last month after a battle with cancer)

It is so wonderful to see your father and great grandson. What a wonderful thing! Not many get to have this photo. I'm glad your dad is healthy enough to do this and that you are able to help him.

I know you both miss Dave and will always.

Thanks for sharing. Now you have pictures of both of you and that cute little guy. What a wonderful blessing.

What a wonderul photo. I'm so sorry about your brother. For a parent, it just seems so horrendous to outlive your child. A new life helps us all.

What a lovely picture PJ. Your dad looks very happy and healthy. I love his beautiful smile. Life is a circle. We are sad when one of us has to leave this earth, but on the other hand we rejoice when another one joins us. Wishing you the best on your stay in Texas. Keep smiling
God Bless

PJ, what a great photo to keep forever. Just think of the difference of the world of this infant now compared to when your dad was born! Thinking about lives like that fills me with awe.

Your dad is still a handsome "young" man! He looks so at ease holding Jackson. Glad that he is still able to do these things.

It is The Circle of Life and your dad just pointed it out. I'm sure you all miss Dave but can rejoice in the new member of the family. Your dad looks so happy in the picture. I'm glad you'll have that memory as you head out to TX to take some time to rest and relax.
