A Title Doesn't Matter

I'm a co-leader to the new SparkPeople team for people who joined 1/20-1/26 2013.
I set up a Welcome Message for those who joined
And I've gotten a lot of feedback from these new members.

: wow, thanks for welcoming me. I'm looking forward to this journey
: your story is inspiring, thanks for being a leader
: thanks for leading this group
: thanks for sharing your great success story

All those, plus more, I read and took to heart.

I may not be nominated as a SparkMotivator or ever get a Popular Blog Post, but by golly, I'm doing something by leading new members, by sharing my story, by showing my successes as well as my failures. By being this active in the SparkCommunity, I'm making a difference, even if my name isn't highlighted on Spark.

So today, as I'm starting to slowly regain my strength back from the flu and getting ready to kick butt in February, I'm reminding myself that this journey has been a long one. I've been consistently loosing weight for 2 years now (8 months on my own, 1yr 4mo with Spark). I am very close to my goal. And while I'm happy and healthy where I am right now, that is just a number I really want to see on the scale. Even if to just once. My range is 150-155 where I'll be comfortable with my weight, I've been stably at 153-155 for more than a month now, roughly, and it feels good. Once I see the number once, that's all I'm asking for.

I am more than a number on the scale.
My body is healthy
My mind is healthy
I AM healthy

I am making lifestyle choices every day
I am encouraging others every day to do the same
I am sharing my story
I am doing something.

You are definitely an awesome, successful inspiration! Way to go on leading a new team to welcome new members!

So glad you are feeling better... but still following the Dr's orders for exercise because too much too soon will only set you back. It will be so awesome to feel 100% again I'm sure!

I think you have really created a healthy lifestyle, and the scale has it's appropriate place in the big picture for you.

Hope you have a great week ahead!
