“People have a hard time letting go of their suffering.
Out of a fear of the unknown, they prefer suffering that is familiar.”

That is so true in all aspects of life, but it hits me personally with my weight loss effort. For the past few years I've known that I need to lose weight for my health, but I've never been thin and it would feel "weird and different", so I kept using that as an excuse not to try. Silly, I know. Thank you for sharing!

A quote that I heard a long time ago but I don't know the attribution is "THe certainty of misery is better than the misery of uncertainty."
