Mohawk use to be a Christian Park with 3 dorms, the smallest sleeps 75, pool, volley ball court, church and 3 preacher cabins. When the owner passed he left the park to the county with the stipulation that it would be opened to the public, but with no alcohol. Now the park is open to all youth groups. There was a large wilderness area next to the park. The county put in a playground next to the old park and hiking trail trail though the woods.
This was the 1st time I had taken Mutt and the 1st time Mutt has hiked in the woods. He was on sensory overload. We went around the 1 mile trail 3 times. 1st at an 11 year olds pace. Complete with look over there, did you see that, whats that. The 2ed time we went at Grandmas pace and by the 3rd time Mutt had calmed down so I let him have his head and we went at his pace sniff the air running ahead then stopping to sniff what ever had gotten his attention.
There was a group in the old part of the park, so we couldn't over there, but had the new part of the part to ourselves for an hour when 2 father and 2 small boys joined us.
Mutt is snoring in his crate. One happy worn out dog.
