Better Bodies

Saturday, January 26, 2013

Went to the 4-H awards banquet with my husband last night. He and our son are off to the gun show and I will probably join them for lunch. I did well on my calories last night and the scale went down a little this morning. No time to exercise with the video so I will have to stay very active today. Got a great night's sleep.
I have been thinking about so many things lately. I don't like watching shows like The Doctors. I used to because I found them informative. Now I see them as a tool that sneakingly adds fear to people's lives. They begin to think, hmmmm I wonder if that is what I have? Fear enters in so many almost imperceptible ways and is so crippling. Sickness enters in many ways and fear is only one of them. We think about it then we get into agreement with it and the next thing you know, there you have it. I don't get flu shots because I don't get sick. I know people who are healthier every time they go to the doctor. They do it by guarding their minds and putting the Word of God deep within them and agreeing only with that. Satan's purpose is to kill, steal and destroy. I know many people who "can't" due to illness or physical limistaions. Is that the abundant life we have been promised? I think not. Is the Word true or isn't it? We have to settle that in our hearts regardless of what we see. One way to do this is to meditate on it day and night and let it become a part of who we are and what we think without being told what to think. When difficult times arise, if the Word is deep inside you, that is what will come out concerning the situation. So let me encourage you to buy the truth and not sell it. Read your Bible and don't worry if you only read one verse very thuroughly. Let it be the only verse you read that week. You will be amazed at the difference in you and the difference in your health.

Thank you for this post. Just what I needed to hear. God has been telling me more to do it His way and to draw closer to Him. Not mans way, but His way.

The Bible emoticon is filled with motivating and inspiring comments that surely will keep us from becoming discouraged over disappointments and that will pump us up when we're down. -- Lou
