Celebrating a HUGE Non-Scale Victory

Saturday, January 26, 2013

I have been struggling with losing weight and not obsessing over the number on the scale. I had made one of my initial NSVs to get back into my size 10 New York and Company denim capris. I love these capris and haven't been able to wear them in at least a couple years. So after my wonderfully supportive husband told me last night that he can tell a difference in certain parts of my body I decided to try get into the capris today for a quick run to the pharmacy (thanks to my 5 yr sharing his germs from school blech). And...they...FIT! emoticon I am so excited! So even though the number on the scale hasn't gone down the inches have definitely come off! That gives me the motivation to bust through the fizzle I was beginning to experience. So definitely a cause for celebration for me today. I think I'm going to go hit up a big liquidation sale and pick up a new sheet set as a reward. Not going to give in and use food as my reward I have come too far for that.

Oh my God! That is awesome! Congratulations!

Is that not the best feeling when you fit into some of your old favorites? And just in time for the upcoming spring! NY&Co. has some nice clothes too. haha!

I am so proud of you, and this really reminds me that the scale isn't my determinant with weight loss, it's how my body looks and feels!

Strut your stuff, my dear. And enjoy those new sheets, you earned it! emoticon emoticon
