My 34th year

Saturday, January 26, 2013

Well now I've gone and done it...34 years old today! Wow!!! When I turned 30 I was probably close to my highest weight ever, not really sure my weight then, but I kinda guess 225-230, just from the look of the photos from my party. I lost 10-15 pounds and then found Spark the following May...

I can't say that the journey has always been successful, but I have managed to not get any bigger. So today on my 34th Birthday I weighed in at 201.2

This is my starting point for a very successful year!

A lot has changed for me this month, I have done some research and watched some documentaries that have really changed my outlook on food, and you know what? The stuff I have learned has made it really easy to say good bye to fast food and junk food.

In the past month I have gone from a pretty crazy addiction to Diet Coke to drinking absolutely no soda! I have had no fast food at all, except 1 trip to Subway! I have switched all white bread and pasta to whole grain! My fridge is filled to the brim with fresh fruit and veggies! I no longer add milk or sugar to my tea!

Because of these changes I have been having a hard time reaching 1500 calories a day, which is my goal, but I have stayed in my other ranges consistently!

I also hit 1000 fitness minutes today which is right on target with my 250 minutes a week!

I am happy and proud to say that since January 1st I am down 12lbs!

My 34th year is the year I make my dreams a reality!

First off, happy birthday again Robyn! I'll be joining you in my 34th year on March 1st. :D Like you, I was right around my highest weight when I turned 30 - around 255 lbs!!! I am REALLY hoping to be at 155 lbs by my 34th birthday...but considering there are four pounds to go and I've been losing 0-1 lb per month over the last few months? Probably not, haha! Well anyway, it's close, and we just keep fighting right? Great job giving up the soda! That's awesome.
