Now that I'm back on Sparkpeople, I'm making a conscious effort to take things one step at a time. So for the weekend, I'm not going to worry about making sure that I behave perfectly in terms of my nutrition. Instead, I have two goals: drink 8 glasses of water each day and stop eating after 8 o'clock.
I've been using an app to track my water throughout the day called Waterlogged. I really enjoy it, and at the end of the day, I just make sure that I update SP as well. Easy enough. Last week I ended up with an urgent trip to the doctor after feeling really terrible all weekend. I found myself with a kidney infection, and while the antibiotics I was given cleared it right up, I definitely realized just how important staying really hydrated is. This afternoon I think the boys and I will stop by the local strawberry stand and pick up a flat of berries. They always make a great after dinner snack, and I think I'll be sure to save 200 calories or so for some berries and chocolate milk. Protein + carbs = I'll be satisfied and ready for bed.
Those are the
